Outer Banks Volunteer Week 2025
October 11-18, 2025

The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau hosted its inaugural Outer Banks Volunteer Week from October 11-18, 2025, with 10 opportunities for visitors, residents and second homeowners to connect more deeply with the community by volunteering with local organizations on a variety of projects and events. Thank you to the following organizations for your support and participation: Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, Town of Duck, Town of Kitty Hawk, Town of Nags Head, Island Farm, Outer Banks Relief Foundation, Dare County Extension Master Gardeners, Outer Banks Sporting Events and Bluegrass Island Music Festival. Part of the Bureau’s expanding Voluntourism program, Volunteer Week aims to support local partners, promote off-season visitation to Dare County and highlight the ongoing work that goes into caring for and sustaining the Outer Banks.
