Choosing the Right Island

The Outer Banks consists of several islands, each with its own distinct personality and attractions. Here's a guide to help you decide which island to stay on based on your itinerary and preferences.

The Northern Beaches, including towns like Duck, Kitty Hawk, and Nags Head, are perfect for those looking for a mix of relaxation and activity. These areas offer a variety of restaurants, shops, and recreational activities, making them ideal for couples who want to explore and enjoy local amenities.

Roanoke Island & Dare Mainland
Roanoke Island, home to the charming town of Manteo, is rich in history and culture. This area is great for couples who enjoy historical sites, gardens, and a slower pace. It's also centrally located, allowing easy access to both the Northern Beaches and Hatteras Island.

Hatteras Island
Hatteras Island is known for its natural beauty and outdoor adventures. With its pristine beaches, iconic lighthouses, and opportunities for horseback riding and watersports, it's perfect for couples who love nature and adventure.
