Ocracoke Express Passenger Ferry

Travelers between Hatteras and Ocracoke Village now have a new choice to reach their destination – an addition to the vehicle ferries that already serve the popular route! Passenger ferry service aboard the Ocracoke Express now runs seven days a week from July 3 through Sept. 10. The fare is $5 one way and $10 round trip. The ferry departs from Hatteras Ferry Terminal at 9:30AM, 1PM, and 4:30PM. Departures from Ocracoke Silver Lake Terminal are 11AM, 3PM, and 8PM. Ocracoke Express Passenger Ferry Safety Precautions: We intend to take the necessary measures and precautions in order to protect our passengers and crew from the spread of COVID19. In line with Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 147, we will be requiring all passengers to wear face coverings while on board both inside the seating area and on the deck. We have also implemented a vessel and facility cleaning regiment with crew sign-off sheets. In addition we will be marking space out in waiting areas to ensure proper social distancing and will have hand sanitizer at the ticket windows and on board the vessels.
