I have enjoyed traveling to various destinations around the world and writing about them. I also appreciate the uniqueness of the South, where I have lived most of my life. My articles have appeared in many regional and national publications, and I have received several awards over the course of my writing career, including a Lowell Thomas Award from SATW, a Discover America Award from Travel Industry of America, and a Charles Kuralt Award from the North Carolina Travel Industry Association.
