Outer Banks Hiking
Take the path less traveled and explore beaches and maritime forests on foot. The OBX is known for its beaches, but did you know we also have three Coastal Maritime forests in Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Buxton? Check out our blog post on Best Hidden Hiking Spots on the OBX.
Put on some hiking shoes and check them out! Discover hidden treasures in places like Buxton Woods or Nags Head Woods Preserve. There are also hiking trails at Jockey’s Ridge State Park and at the Pea Island National Wildlife Preserve. Hiking on restricted dunes is prohibited.
