The pristine grounds easily accommodate two large tents holding at least 150 guests or more in Manteo, North Carolina. Surrounded by a picturesque white picket fence, this historic waterfront home is an ideal backdrop for a fabulous outdoor wedding on Roanoke Island. Located in the heart of Manteo’s historic district, the pristine yard and gardens overlook scenic marshland, Shallowbag Bay and Marshes Lighthouse. Breathtaking sound views, sunrises and sunsets as well as the Manteo waterfront and boardwalk, all provide beautiful surroundings for creating memorable photograph albums and the perfect OBX wedding. John Wesley and Rosa Brinkley Evans built their stately home in the 1870s as John and his brothers began a general store in Manteo. Today, Manteo House remains in the Evans family as it has for over one hundred and thirty years. After the recent wedding of her son, Charles Kramer Evans, which was held at the home, Rebecca Evans began Manteo House as a premier outdoor wedding venue location.
