Race course weaves through one of the best remaining examples of mid-Atlantic Maritime forest and deciduous hardwoods.

On Saturday before Mother's Day, this race highlights the "Treat Your Mom to Mother's Day on the Beach" themed weekend on the Outer Banks. Runners and families from up and down the East Coast participate in the Yuengling Nags Head Woods 5K Race or the Village Realty fun run through the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve.
