The Alligator River Bridge along US 64 will be closed for scheduled repairs from April 2-14, 2013. It is located between the communities of Columbia, NC and Nags Head, NC. There are several alternate route choices, but expect additional travel times of up to 1.5 hours.  Highway NC 17N to the north of this closed span and Highway US 264 E to the south are among the alternate route choices.
