Through the past twenty-one years, the Waits have evolved into a professional a cappella vocal ensemble of 17 singers, clothed in Victorian costume (Charles Dickens era-1840s), that perform from a collection of more than 120 songs and carols of the holiday season. This collection includes both traditional and lesser-known songs of ancient to modern times with origins from many different countries. They are a versatile group who have mastered many styles, and have a wide appeal for audiences as they present a variety of music. In any given performance audiences are treated to music ranging from traditional, classical, shape note, jazz, Appalachian, and children’s favorites. The cost of admission is $10.00. (252) 475-1500.
