US Army Corps of Engineers, Field Research Facility "Duck Research Pier"

This unique facility conducts research on the ocean processes affecting the coast, storm impacts and erosion. Several vehicles, including the 35-foot tall, three-wheeled, CRAB, support the research activities.

Entrance Gate is open between 9:30 and 10 a.m.

Services
Sixty-minute walking tours are offered mid-June through mid-August at 10 a.m. Monday - Friday.
